Within ten days, our Redemptorist communities have the opportunity to celebrate the feast days of two Redemptorist Blesseds: Blessed Kaspar Stanggassinger and Blessed Francis X. Seelos. Although neither of them lived a long life, their legacies and holiness are known to many Christians worldwide.
The Redemptorists are proud to have a confrere like Blessed Stanggassinger, who greatly loved the Eucharist and encouraged Christians to turn to the Eucharist often, especially when they were in need and anxious. Our Redemptorist communities will celebrate the feast of Blessed Francis Seelos, a member of our Province, with great joy on October 5.
He is well-known to many Christians for his compassionate heart, and not only while he was alive. Many stories of gratitude for Blessed Seelos’ intercession are shared by the pilgrims at our Seelos Shrine in New Orleans.
We are thankful for the hard work of all the confreres who have worked at the Seelos Shrine. Your ministry of promoting devotion to Blessed Seelos will never be forgotten in the hearts of countless pilgrims.
Happy feast days to all members of the Redemptorist Denver Province.
