The Chapter members Concluded Phase II of the XXVI General Chapter with a closing Mass at the Church of St Alphonsus, Rome at 11 am. on Thursday, October 6.



Newly elected Superior General Fr. Rogerio Gomes presided over the Mass. He was accompanied by Chapter members and confreres from the community of St Alphonsus.



The Superior General highlighted the words of Pope Francis, "to leave the comfort zones" and be the missionaries of hope for the wounded world. The Theme of the next sexennium is "Missionaries of Hope in the Footsteps of the Redeemer."

The Chapter members were commissioned for the mission with the symbol of the Cross, which was brought from Singapore.



Following the Eucharistic celebrations, the Community and the Chapter members enjoyed a festival meal and fellowship.

Los capitulares concluyeron la II fase del XXVI Capítulo General con la Santa Eucaristía en la Iglesia de San Alfonso, Roma, a las 11 horas, presidida por el Superior General P. Rogerio Gomes y concelebrada por los capitulares y los hermanos de la comunidad de San Alfonso.

El Superior General destacó las palabras del Papa Francisco, "salir de las zonas de confort..." y ser los misioneros de la esperanza para el mundo herido como el tema del próximo sexenio, "Misioneros de la esperanza tras las huellas del Redentor."

Los miembros del Capítulo fueron comisionados para la misión con el símbolo de la cruz traído desde Singapur. La Comunidad y los miembros del Capítulo lo celebraron con una comida de confraternidad festiva.
