Redemptorist Fr. Pete Sousa Honored with Award

December 7, 2021On September 19, at a ceremony at the Cathedral in Charleston, Fr. Peter Sousa, C.Ss.R., received the Pro Ecclesia et Pontifice Cross.
Fr. Mike Koncik, C.Ss.R., came in support, as well as a number of parishioners. Fathers Blas and George had to stay home to celebrate the Masses but were there in spirit.
There were six in total who were given awards. Fr. Sousa received his award for ministering 10 years in the Diocese, serving on various diocesan committees, assisting with youth ministry, and appreciating his previous vocation ministry, Army chaplaincy, and service at Shaw Air Force Base in South Carolina.
