Redemptorist "Under 55" Gathering has a Final Document on the Way

October 14, 2022Fr. Quy Duong and the Preparatory Committee for the Under 55 Gathering in Mexico met online recently to review the draft of the document for the gathering.
Fr. Quy summarized the events of the gathering and Fr. Aaron Meszaros summarized the major themes discussed and indicated practical considerations for the future after the summary of each theme in the draft document.
After Fr. Quy completes the final edits and additions to the document, Fr. José Luis of the Province of Mexico will translate it into Spanish, and the document will be distributed to confreres.
The Preparatory Committee agreed that the document should be immediately available in both English and Spanish.
Fr. Jack Kingsbury will distribute the final document with a cover letter to confreres. Moving forward, the Preparatory Committee plans to meet through Zoom periodically to discuss the various themes expressed in the document. These Zoom meetings will not be limited to members of the Preparatory Committee; other confreres will be invited to join the discussions.
The hope is that these ongoing Zoom discussions will continue the discernment of the direction that Redemptorists of the Conference of North America are taking, especially in regards to the themes discussed in the Under 55 Gathering document.
