Semi-Annual Seelos Healing Mass Held at Shrine

May 9, 2023The faithful from near and far filled St. Mary’s Assumption Church in New Orleans to capacity for the Seelos Healing Mass on April 24.
Devotion to Blessed Seelos is still going strong, and it was a blessing to have the whole local community participate in the liturgy.
Deacon Thien Hoang did a great job of preaching at Mass – based not only on our own opinions, but on the collection received! “It was a great honor and pleasure to preach at the Seelos Mass,” Deacon Thien said.
“It touched my heart to see people of such great faith present, so much so that I spoke about passion – passionate faith – living and believing passionately in Jesus Christ and witnessing to the missionary call to go out to the poor and most abandoned with zeal. Those people evangelized me because I saw in them the passionate faith of Seelos. I’ll forever and always be grateful for that opportunity.”
