Along with the coming of Spring this year, a Provincial Visitation came for many communities in the Denver Province. St. Clement Redemptorist Mission Community was blessed with three visitors – Fr. Binh Ta, Fr. Anthony Nguyen and Fr. Stephen Benden – on March 23-29, seven days because more than 30 men are in this large community.
Our typical Spring weather welcomed them to Liguori, and we enjoyed their presence at all of our daily meals. Each one of us spent private time with them, answering their questions and offering comments and insights about our time living at the health care center.
In the past, visitations were sometimes a time of tension. A joke was that you could tell a visitation was coming because the rector cleaned up his desk to free it of clutter!
We were grateful for the time spent with us, and for their willingness to be part of our community for those seven days. We wish them safe travels for the remainder of the time of visitation in the Denver Province.
