A Summer Update from the Region of Ste. Anne de Beaupre in the Province of Canada

August 17, 2022During the summer, several Redemptorist from Canada joined the Shrine's community, attending its morning and evening prayer and offering their pastoral service. As in past years, we greeted the presence of Fr. David Purcell from the Edmonton-Toronto Region, between July 8 and 27.
A confrere from the Province of Vietnam who is studying in Toronto, Father Joseph Khai, gave us his help from July 11 to August 5, while perfecting his French.
In addition, two brothers in formation and a candidate helped out. Coming from the Yorkton Region, Ivan Dzhur, arrived on July 1. He renewed his vows in the presence of the Provincial Superior in August and he will leave on August 30.
During this time of pastoral internship, he was present to the pilgrims, proclaimed the Gospel, and did some preaching in English.As for Andrew Phillips, from the Edmonton Toronto Region, he served in the sacristy, helping with the processions and the distribution of the communion from May 29 to August 2.
