The members of the North American Redemptorist Conference Unification Commission met in Mexico City January 22 through January 26, to “discern and plan for the process of unification within the next three years.”
The Baltimore Province of the Redemptorists is part of an international religious community of over 4,500 priests and brothers who proclaim the Gospel of God’s plentiful love all over the world. Although we serve in over 80 countries across the globe, we Redemptorists carry out our mission ‘united as members who live together and form one missionary body. (Cons. 2)’
Father John Collins (Provincial) recently enjoyed wonderful visits with our Redemptorist Confreres from the Polish Province who currently serve as missionaries in parishes in Perth Amboy and Manville, New Jersey, and with our Vietnamese confreres from the Extra-Patriam Vice-Province in Houston, Texas.
Fathers John Olenick (Provincial Vicar) and Kevin O’Neil (Provincial Consultor) are working together with confreres from the Provinces of Denver and Mexico on a Commission to bring us into greater union with one another for the sake of our mission (see photo below).
Together with all the members of our wider Redemptorist family, ‘we, though many, are one body in Christ’ (Romans 12:5).
