The Committee for the Dialogue between the Provinces of Denver and Mexico continues to meet regularly.
Members – Fr. John Fahey Guerra, Fr. Quy Duong and Br. Larry Luján from the Denver Province and Fr. Carlos Flores, Fr. Joaquin Frausto and Fr. Aaron Moreno from the Province of Mexico – are responsible for maintaining dialogue between the two provinces to help the confreres get to know each other and better understand the apostolic work underway in individual communities.
The Committee also received a report on the meeting for confreres 55 and younger scheduled on August 30- September 1 in Mexico City, and reviewed decisions made by the last Conference Assembly of North America.
The involvement of the Baltimore Province and the Extra-Patriam Vice Province greatly adds to the overall conversation. The Committee decided to continue its work of dialogue between the confreres of Denver and Mexico, like the meeting between St. Alphonsus “Rock” Parish in St. Louis and Casa Provincial in Mexico.
Committee members believe the personal interaction will enhance the overall conversation about the future of a combined Unit of the U.S. and Mexico.
