Special thanks to Fr. Gary Ziuraitis, C.Ss.R. for sharing a few glimpses of the sublime beauty of Our Mother of Perpetual Help Redemptorist Church in Kansas City.
Following the beauty of Christmas (the altar and nativity display featured here), the church immediately transitioned to the practical!
“Immediately after New Year’s Day, we embarked on refreshing some spots in the interior of the church that had been damaged by roof and gutter leaks,” he said. “Last year we repaired the roof and replaced the gutters. Now scaffolding has gone up to finish the affected interior areas.
The painters’ workbench where he matches stenciling, and mixes paint to match the 20-year-old painting scheme is featured at left. When all is finished, the results will be like nothing every happened and nobody will be able to tell the difference!
