Redemptorist theology students recently enjoyed the generous hospitality of Fr. Aaron Meszaros and Fr. Richard Boever in New Orleans.
They were happy to host such an international group: Felix E. Ova and Diego N. Lema from Bolivia; Noel Oce and Andrew Phillips from Canada; and Scott Partin, who is from Louisiana.
In addition to exploring the historic city and enjoying the local cuisine during their weekend trip, the students learned about Blessed Francis Seelos, as well as the Redemptorists’ history in New Orleans and the historic St. Mary’s Assumption Church.
Fr. Gil Enderle, our vice postulator for the Cause for Canonization of Blessed Francis X. Seelos, gave the students a private tour of the Seelos’ Shrine and St. Mary’s Assumption Church.
The students had a great time in New Orleans, and are grateful to their hosts Fr. Aaron and Fr. Richard, as well as Fr. Gil and his wonderful staff and volunteers at the National Shrine of Blessed Seelos.
